No, you pay by weight of product. Buy what you need, nothing more, nothing less.

No. We understand that all of your household needs do not run out at the same time. If you need to refill your shampoo and only top up your condition, you will only pay for the new product you add to your container. We know it is common sense however we recommend topping up with the same product ;)

To keep refill costs low and reusing high. This way after your initial deposit we are not continuously charging you for containers. If you are not using it, we want it back :)

We encourage everyone to bring their own containers or to use our free containers from our Community shelf.

No. Want to try a different product, scent or size? You got it. As long as you have a bottle to exchange we will bring you a new one. If there is a difference in the deposit amount, we will be sure to refund you any difference.

We don't want anyone taking a mason jar into the shower with them. Also, Aluminum is EASILY recycled. 75% of all aluminum every produced is still in use today.

Yes please! We clean, sterilize and give them a second life! 

We really appreciate donated containers arriving empty and washed.

Yes, at the moment we have a cream rub on and roll on available for refill.  

 It can seem that natural deodorants are much more expensive then the ones we see in big box stores, and true some may be.  We have found fantastic Canadian made deodorants that are very competitive and because they are so effective you will find that you do not have to re-apply multiple times a day (usually just once a day will do you).  You deodorant will last you months longer, saving you money; and you will be much happier :)

Toothpaste tablets are small, mint-sized pieces of toothpaste that have been dried and compacted. They typically contain the same ingredients as regular toothpaste, but in a more concentrated and convenient form.

Yes.  Our laundry detergents do not have harsh synthetic fragrances that are usually associated with skin irritations.

Absolutely.  All of our laundry detergents are septic safe.

We have tried and tested this recipe, and it works incredibly well.

For Portable Machines:
Add the following to the machine's tank:
- 5 ml Pure Laundry Detergent
- 5 ml Pure Stain Remover
Shampoo as normal.  If you have a really tough stain, spray it directly with the stain remover for extra stain killing power!

For Full-size Machines:
- Add Pure Laundry Detergent and Stain Remover at HALF of what is recommended for carpet cleaning solution by the machine's manufacturer.

We offer free local delivery of orders $45.00 or over to Medicine Hat, Redcliff, Dunmore and Desert Blume and anywhere else within a 15 km radius of Medicine Hat.

Yes, we ship in Canada (excluding Quebec) and shipping fees are waived for all orders over $45.

We have many refillable products available for online purchase.  These refillables are available in 100 ml quanitities and will be delivered/shipped to you in a sterilized upcycled container.

Our climate provides temperatures of extreme high and low. We don't want your order to sit out in either too long.

Refillery products are not returnable (can't put the toothpaste back in the tube). We encourage you to just try a little bit and if you love it come back and fill your container! For all other non-refillable products if you are not happy with your purchase, please do not hesitate to reach out to us so we can see what we can do.

We always do our best to avoid this but it happens.  If products show up broken please take a picture and email us at hello@rootsrefillery.com right away.  Since you ordered online we are happy to refund you directly for the broken items or send you a replacement.
