Can I refill my own container?

Yes and we encourage it! Just make sure your container is clean and dry.  Oh, and top tip for refilling.....never look away! ;)

What if I don't have my own container?

We have many options for you. You can borrow one, rent one or buy one.

How does refilling in store work?

It is pretty simple. Weigh your container, scan your container tag, fill your container and check out, just like a regular store. Don't worry, we are here to help you!

Do I have to fill my container to the top?

No, you pay by weight of product. Buy what you need, nothing more, nothing less. 

Do my containers have to be empty in order to refill?

No. We understand that all of your household needs do not run out at the same time. If you need to refill your shampoo and only top up your condition, you will only pay for the new product you add to your container. We know it is common sense however we recommend topping up with the same product ;)

How does renting a Roots Refillery Bottle work?

Our aluminum and clear cleaner bottles are versatile. A $4 deposit will be added to your order for each new Roots bottle. When you return it we will return your deposit. 

Our Pure Laundry Detergent bottles are a $4 Deposit

If you would like a refill with a different product we will trade your Roots bottle for a clean and sterilized new bottle and there is no additional deposit.

Why do I have to pay a deposit for a Roots Refillery bottle?

To keep refill costs low and reusing high. This way after your initial deposit we are not continuously charging you for containers. If you are not using it, we want it back :)

Do I have to order the same product to reuse my Roots Refillery bottle?

No.  Want to try a different product, scent or size?  You got it. As long as you have a bottle to exchange we will bring you a new one. If there is a difference in the deposit amount, we will be sure to refund you any difference. 

Why are the Roots Refillery bottles aluminum?

We don't want anyone taking a mason jar into the shower with them.  Also, Aluminum is EASILY recycled.  75% of all aluminum every produced is still in use today.  

What about the accessories for my Roots Bottle, such as a sprayer or pump? 

Great question! If it your first time ordering and requesting to rent a Roots Refillery bottle, it will come with the best accessory for the product.   When you refill your bottle through delivery, your new bottle will be delivered with a cap, please remember to keep your pump/sprayer.  

Where do you deliver?

We offer free local delivery of orders $45.00 or over to Medicine Hat, Redcliff, Dunmore and Desert Blume and anywhere else within a 15 km radius of Medicine Hat.  

Why do I have to pick a date and time block for my delivery?

Our climate provides temperatures of extreme high and low.  We don't want your order to sit out in either too long. 

Do you ship?

Yes, we ship in Canada and shipping fees are waived for all orders over $100.

What if I don't like my product?  Can I return it?

Refillery products are not returnable (can't put the toothpaste back in the tube).  We encourage you to just try a little bit and if you love it come back and fill your container!  For all other non-refillable products if you are not happy with your purchase, please do not hesitate to reach out to us so we can see what we can do.

Do You Accept Donations of Containers?

Yes please!  We clean, sterilize and give them a second life!  

Where are all of your products from?

All products and companies that are represented at Roots Refillery are Canadian.  We have taken a lot of time to seek out the companies we have partnered with to ensure that they are of the highest standards for enviromental and social responsibility.  We have also tested every product to ensure its quality and value.

You do not carry a product I use, can I make a recommendation?

Of course!  Send us an email at hello@rootsrefillery.com.  We have an ongoing list of companies that we looking into and all takes time.  If the company passes our audit, we will add it to our supplier list.  

Do you have a Reward program?

Why thank you for asking such a specific question.  Yes, we sure do :)  For every $1 you spend you earn 5 points.  100 points = $1.00.  You can also earn additional points by giving us a 5 star review on social media platforms and/or Google (but only if we earned it, we like to work hard for our stars).
